Bar check

Whenever a bar check is encountered during interpretation, a warning message is issued if it doesn't fall at a measure boundary. This can help you find errors in the input. Depending on the value of barCheckNoSynchronize, the beginning of the measure will be relocated, so this can also be used to shorten measures.

A bar check is entered using the bar symbol, |:

  \time 3/4 c2 e4 | g2.

Failed bar checks are most often caused by entering incorrect durations. Incorrect durations often completely garble up the score, especially if it is polyphonic, so you should start correcting the score by scanning for failed bar checks and incorrect durations.
