The following options are used to reset or halt the alarm daemon, or to control KAlarm's display mode.

| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| --reset | Reset the alarm daemon. |
| --stop | Stop the alarm daemon. |
| --tray | Display KAlarm as an icon in the KDE system tray. |
