Parameters for rotational friction, a Coulomb frictional law with shear stiffness. Forces are applied at the contact point, which generates moments. Normal and shear stiffnesses are specified via a contact Young's Modulus and Poisson's Ratio.

Parameters defining beam-like frictional interactions between rotational particles.

Parameters:
  • name (string) - Name assigned to this group of interactions.
  • youngsModulus (float) - elastic contact modulus used when calculating linear elastic normal force.
  • poissonsRatio (float) - contact Poisson's Ratio used when calculating linear elastic shear force.
  • dynamicMu (float) - friction coefficient when contact is sliding.
  • staticMu (float) - friction coefficient which governs the transition from static contact to dynamic frictional sliding.
  • rigid (bool) - When True (default is False), rigid body rotations of touching particle-pairs are taken into account.
  • meanR_scaling (bool) - use mean particle radius instead of min particle radius as the radius of bonds.
