PyHistory

Author: Paul Dubois, LLNL. Please see legal notice in parent directory.

PyHistory is a facility for collecting samples of data from evolving simulations; these
are often called "time histories". PyHistory can save these samples in a variety
of data formats including both text formats and self-describing binary file formats. (The
only one supported so far is Pact/PDB).

Documentation for PyHistory is best viewed with a web browser at http://xfiles.llnl.gov/PyHistory. The Doc
subdirectory contains the HTML files and is best used by opening the file printit.htm in a
web browser and printing the resulting page.

Installation note: PyHistory consists entirely of Python language files, in directory
Lib. There is no extension module to build. PyHistory requires PyPDB if you are
going to use the Pact/PDB output format.
