Adding Users in the Multi-User Configuration

In this section, we show the screen output for installing a user-dstool subdirectory for use with the multi-user dstool configuration using the install_dsuser program. The example shows a user named sunuser creating a user-dstool directory called mydstool in their HOME directory. The central dstool library files in this example are located in /usr/local/dstool. The system prompt has been set to be the ``>'' character.

 This script installs a new local copy of the basic user-dstool directory
 in accordance with instructions by the user.  For more information about
 the dstool multi-user configuration, consult the dstool installation manual.
 
 
The installation of the user-dstool directory depends on the
environment variable DSTOOL. You MUST have DSTOOL defined to
proceed with the program installation.
 
Currently, DSTOOL is set to the path:
            /usr/local/dstool

Input the full destination path for the user-dstool directory: ~/mydstool
