This is a Debian prepackaged version of mon. It was put together by
Roderick Schertler <roderick@argon.org> with sources obtained from
<URL:http://www.us.kernel.org/pub/software/admin/mon/>.

The package contains these modifications to the distributed software:

    - /usr/local/lib/mon/mon.d and /usr/local/lib/mon/alert.d are
prepended to the default monitor and alert paths, respectively.

    - If the /var/log/mon directory exists, the daemon uses it in place
      of /usr/lib/mon/log.d.

    - The fping.monitor script treats an unknown return code from fping
as an error rather than ignoring it.

    - mon.cgi turns Perl's taint checking on.

    - The clients default to using localhost as the server.

    - Some typos and omissions in the mon man page are fixed.
