1. Package Contents

The Qlogic Linux NIC driver package contains the following files: 

 * qlgc-qlcnic-src-xx.xx.xx.tgz - Compressed package that contains
   driver source for supported operating systems. 

 * qlgc-qlcnic-unified-src-rpm-xx.xx.xx.tgz - Compressed package
   that contains driver unified source RPM for supported operating
   systems.

   NOTE: xx.xx.xx represents the driver package version number.

2. Supported Adapters/Controllers

   * 3200 Series Intelligent Ethernet Adapters 
   * 8200 Series Converged Network Adapters 


3. Supported Operating Systems

The Qlogic Linux NIC driver is compatible with the following 
OS platforms for (32-bit/64-bit) [Intel x86, Intel EM64T, AMD64]

        RedHat    - RHEL5.4, RHEL5.5, RHEL5.6, RHEL5.7, RHEL5.8, 
                    RHEL6.0, RHEL6.1, RHEL6.2, RHEL6.3
        SuSE      - SLES10 SP3, SLES10 SP4, 
                    SLES11, SLES11 SP1, SLES11 SP2
        Citrix XS - XS5.6, XS5.6 FP1, XS5.6 SP2, XS6.0

NOTE: For specific OS service packs (SP) and updates, refer to the 
descriptions where this software version is posted on the QLogic Web
site:

4. Installing the Driver


4.1. Installing the Driver

Please refer to the instructions provided with the individual 
driver package


4.2. Removing the Driver

Please refer to the instructions provided with the individual 
driver package


5. Additional Notes

* Please refer to the driver manual page ("man qlcnic") for details
  on the driver parameters.

* Flash the adapter with the latest firmware before loading
  the driver.

* Firmware dump

   Use the script /opt/qlcnic/ql_dump.sh to configure
   or collect firmware dump

   See the following for the usage
   sh ql_dump.sh -h|--help

* NPAR - For traffic to run between VMs through NPAR functions 
  belonging to same physical port, offload settings on those functions
  should be the same. Admins can configure offload settings using
  the qaucli tool.
